Comments from Nishitsu readers to “7-Eleven”
Until five years ago, I worked for six years at a nearby high school. I was encouraged by the warm words of the friendly staff. Thank you so much for everything.

Back in the day, I often bought magazines and packs of trading card games at this 7-Eleven and had fun with them. They’re such nostalgic memories, and now I work as a 7-Eleven staff member at another store. It’s truly sad, but thank you for keeping the store going all this time!! I hope to continue working as a 7-Eleven staff member too.

Once, when there was a localized power outage around here, they said only the register system still had power, and they did their best to stay open. I relied on them so many times on weekends and other days when I didn’t have the energy to cook. I’m filled with gratitude. Thank you so much.

I’m not really a 7-Eleven person, but the staff were always kind, so I stopped by from time to time. I’m sad to see it go😭

I used it almost every day. I’m sad to see it close.

This is a nostalgic 7-Eleven for me. About 19 years ago, the store was across the road. (Probably where the dry cleaner and greengrocer are now.) It had the same owner. When that 7-Eleven in Notocho had just opened, I was a high school student and went there for a part-time job interview. At the time, I was going through a bit of a rebellious phase, so I don’t think my appearance or attitude were very good. Naturally, I didn’t get the job lol. I still remember the owner’s wife saying to me, “You don’t help your mother at home, do you?” lol. At the time, I felt frustrated, but now I think it was run by serious, honest people, and that’s why it was able to stay open for about 20 years. Owner, do you remember me? lol. Now I’m a parent myself, and when I go back to my family home, I take my child there to shop lol. My child loves 7-Eleven’s vegetable sticks.

If anyone else has memories, we’ll add them too, so we’re waiting to hear from you.
Lastly
It really was a place that supported people’s everyday lives as “the usual spot.” It’s very sad that the “7-Eleven” Notocho store, which stayed close to the community for so many years, has closed, but the time spent there will remain in everyone’s hearts. Thank you so much✨
