There’s a Park in Nishinomiya That Taiwan Fans Will Do a Double Take At

Everyone, do you like Taiwan?
I love it so much that at the end of last year, I even cycled all the way around Taiwan.
And here’s a park that even made a Taiwan geek like me do a double take.

“Takao Taipei Park”
Takao, Taipei Park!?
Did Kaohsiung City in Taiwan (the 3rd-largest city) and Taipei City (the largest city) merge!?
At this point, it’s basically Taiwan!!!

Takao Taipei Park
Actually, it’s “Takaodai Kita” Park.

The irrigation channel beside the park was beautiful, like a carpet of cherry blossoms!
The name has a Taiwanese feel, but the scenery is pure Japan♪

It’s located up on the hill in front of Namaze Station.

Take a look at the “south” of Takao Taipei Park on the map.
Believe it or not, there’s also Takao Tainan Park (not “Takao Tainan Park,” but “Takaodai Minami Park”)!

A gorgeous fully lawn-covered Takaodai Minami Park spreads out on the hilltop!
In the shrubs on the left, there are beautiful pink flowers so lovely they could rival cherry blossoms(^^)

I couldn’t resist, so I gently placed the WILKINSON from my bag and took a commemorative photo.

Located in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, this handmade dessert shop from southern Taiwan is “日食生活”.

I’d love for him to relocate to Namaze in Nishinomiya.

As you’ve probably noticed, he’s ridiculously handsome enough to rival an actor.
He loves Japan and often comes to Taiwan-Japan exchange events in Osaka.
Someday, I’d love for him to visit Nishinomiya’s “Takao Taipei Park” too.

He makes wonderful Taiwanese sweets like these.
If you ever have the chance to visit Kaohsiung, Taiwan, why not stop by “日食生活”?
If you say, “I saw it on Nishi2!”, you might get two pansies on your cake.

A sightseeing spot on Taiwan’s east coast, “Sanxiantai Arch Bridge”.
Most Japanese visitors go along the west coast, where the train line runs from Taipei to Kaohsiung.
The east coast is a hidden gem!
