I was surprised while looking at Google Maps!
It turns out there are three “Itsukushima Shrine” locations within a 1.5 km radius of Mondo-Yakujin Station.
I went to check them out in person to see whether all three places actually exist and what they’re like!
This is “Itsukushima Shrine” in Kaminocho, just east of Kawaragi Junior High School.

There’s a majestic torii gate.
The area is surrounded by lush trees, and time seems to pass slowly here.
Playground equipment inside the shrine grounds!?

It’s a wonderful shrine where children can visit and feel right at home♪＾＾
There was a sword.
I thought it might belong to the ghost of a fallen samurai, but it just had a sticker with a child’s name on it. Come pick it up～.
The second one is “Itsukushima Shrine” in Kannocho.
The address led to a parking lot. I walked around the area too, but couldn’t find anything that looked like a shrine.
It’s a mystery.If anyone knows anything about this Itsukushima Shrine, please let us know～!

Final Thoughts
Itsukushima Shrine on Miyajima in Hiroshima is famous.
Who would have thought there were ones so close by here in Nishinomiya!
Now I’m gradually starting to crave momiji manju.
