😲Among the municipalities visiting the Osaka Expo, Nishinomiya locals seem to be No. 1 nationwide.

Expo visitors: Hyogo residents make up 13%, second after local Osaka Prefecture. By municipality, Nishinomiya City had the most visitors https://t.co/Lw7eLGs1sT
An IT company survey found that Hyogo residents are believed to have made up 13% of domestic visitors during the first four weeks of the Osaka-Kansai Expo (April 13 to May 10).

It was mentioned in an article by Kobe Shimbun, which said, “By municipality, Nishinomiya City had the most visitors.” The survey was conducted by an IT company.

When it comes to who’s going to the Osaka Expo the most by municipality, “Nishinomiya residents” are No. 1. Isn’t that amazing?!
By the way, by prefecture, Osaka Prefecture is apparently No. 1 as expected, but Hyogo is No. 2. Nishinomiya may have practically helped pull Hyogo up there! The governor has been pushing the Expo hard too, with the Hyogo Field Pavilion, Rakuichi Rakuza, and all that.

Nishi2 also wrote a pre-opening Expo report titled “The Expo has a lot of Nishinomiya spots.” More than local Osaka City, which is kind of surprising💦
How Many Steps Are People Walking at the Expo?
We found data from Rei Frontier, which researches foot traffic at the Expo. Using an app called SilentLog(SilentLog), they analyzed log data on who was where and for how long, so here’s what we found〜.
Evenings Seem to Be Less Crowded
According to another report by the company,

- The Expo’s crowd peak is from “10:00 to 14:00”
- After 18:00, it starts clearing out quickly
Apparently, so keep that in mind.

By the way, the average number of steps at the venue is an incredible about 15,000 steps. In Nishinomiya terms, that’s like walking from Shukugawa to Koshien Stadium, so be prepared.
Finally

One of the Expo’s charms may be that it lets you feel like you’re traveling around the world close to home. I’ve never traveled overseas myself, and apparently you can try foods from around 35 countries〜. I made a tool that lets you search signature menu items at the Expo’s foreign pavilions〜. With AI, that is.
