March 27, 2019
The Hanshin Tigers Victory Prayer Ceremony will be held on March 27, 2019.
Every year, from early in the morning, people of all generations, from small children to seniors, gather on the shrine grounds. The area is filled with the energy of passionate Tigers fans dressed in the team’s theme color, yellow.
We pray for everyone’s success again this year.
The history of prayers for the Hanshin Tigers’ championship victory has continued for 79 years since the team was founded in Showa 11 (1936).

About the Day of the Event
The ceremony will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 27. Some people may arrive early to secure a spot.
At the victory prayer ceremony held the other day on Tuesday, March 5 at Nishinomiya Shrine, 1,000 fans came despite it being a weekday, so perhaps around the same number will come to Hirota Shrine as well. By the way, according to the official page, 500 fans came to the victory prayer ceremony at Hirota Shrine two years ago in 2016.
Hirota Shrine Has Been Praying for the Tigers’ Championship Since the Team Was Founded!
Hirota Shrine has a long history of praying for the Tigers’ championship victory, apparently continuing for 83 years since the team was founded in Showa 11 (1936).
That’s why you’ll find Tigers-related items scattered throughout the shrine.

There are also ema prayer plaques.
