It looks like a food event called the “Koshien Konamon Festival” will be held at Hanshin Koshien Stadium.
Participating Shops
Two shops each will be serving takoyaki, okonomiyaki, and yakisoba. It kind of feels like a showdown.
Takoyaki Category

The two shops are “Gindaco” and “Creo-ru.” “Creo-ru” is a takoyaki shop from Dotonbori, and it seems this will be its first appearance at Koshien. You’ll definitely want to compare the two.
Okonomiyaki Category

The two shops are “Tsuruhashi Fugetsu,” which has been around for 60 years, and “Icchan,” making its first appearance at Koshien. “Icchan” is an authentic Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki shop from Hiroshima that has been featured in Michelin. This is one you absolutely want to try.
Yakisoba Category

The two shops are “Koshien Yakisoba” from Koshien Stadium and “Messe Kuma” from Dotonbori. “Messe Kuma” seems to serve yakisoba with beef tendon and a rich, sweet Osaka-style sauce.

The event will take place at Mizuno Square outside Hanshin Koshien Stadium.

Finally
Okonomiyaki, takoyaki, and yakisoba seem like the perfect match with beer while watching baseball.
Come to think of it, okonomiyaki is actually a surprisingly historic food!
I looked it up a little, and apparently the roots of okonomiyaki, one of the classic konamon foods, go back to the Azuchi-Momoyama period. It was called “funoyaki” back then and was apparently eaten as a sweet.
The event runs for three days from May 17 to 19, so why not check it out?
