Today, while I was walking around the same area at about the same time, an animal that looked like a tanuki crossed about 10 meters in front of me.
A car came by, so the animal slipped under a fence and ran off into the bushes, and I wasn’t able to take a photo.
It was about the same size as a cat, but its tail was short and its back looked rounded.
