If You Spot a Monkey, Just Leave It Alone
Even with multiple sightings, monkeys apparently aren’t necessarily afraid of people.
Here are Nishinomiya City’s precautions regarding monkeys.
1. Do not feed monkeys or show them food
Try not to leave food-like items, such as kitchen waste, outside.
2. Do not approach monkeys
If you reach out, you may be bitten or scratched. If you encounter a monkey, leave the area without provoking it.
3. Make sure your doors and windows are properly locked
Monkeys can even enter homes through second-floor windows, so please be careful.
Finally
There was also a monkey sighting in Wakakusacho this May. With wild boars, raccoons, and now monkeys, it feels like the variety is growing. Is Nishinomiya gradually turning into Japari Park?(No, that would not be good.)
