Welcome to “Nishikon,” a section where readers’ “I did this in Nishinomiya!” stories become articles.(It’s called Nishikon, but it has absolutely nothing to do with matchmaking or anything like that.)
For the 8th9th edition, we’re hearing that the rocket-shaped playground equipment at Kubo Park (Traffic Park) is getting a full-scale repaint.
They’re doing some seriously detailed work

Recreating the drawings that the children worked so hard on has taken far more effort and time than I imagined. Seeing the Otemae professors and students working on it by hand day after day in this heat really leaves me impressed.
Amazing!! Since this rocket will stay in Traffic Park for a loooong time, the children will be able to watch over it as they grow up. That’s wonderful.
It’s expected to be completed around the end of August, so there’s a lot to look forward to.
If you have something like “I went to eat this at a shop in Nishinomiya!” please submit it to Nishinomiya Tsushin.
