“Wait, this is a hospital?!” A next-generation clinic with a cafe-like waiting area and full-scale rehabilitation facilities is opening in Nishinomiya. Nakashima Internal Medicine, Cardiology & Orthopedic Clinic Nishinomiya will be holding an open house〜
It will be held over 4 days: 8/27(Wed), 28(Thu), 29(Fri), and 30(Sat). Hours are 10:00〜14:00〜.
There will be a Yuge Roastery pop-up, sweets from Patisserie Cocoro, rehab experiences（including Redcord）, foot sole diagnostics, vascular age consultations, and more. On the 29th only, a music band will be coming too♪ It sounds like it’ll have an atmosphere almost like a school festival〜

It’s a 1-minute walk from Hanshin-Kokudo Station. It’s across from the new hospital currently under construction, “Hyogo Prefectural Nishinomiya General Medical Center (tentative name)”〜.
An open house that doesn’t feel like a hospital, with coffee from Yuge Roastery
Nishinomiya’s popular coffee specialty shop Yuge Roastery will appear in the cafe space（on the 27th and 30th）.
Taking a relaxed look around with a cup of coffee in hand sounds pretty great, doesn’t it〜? To celebrate the opening, coffee filters will also be handed out daily to the first 50 visitors.
Is this really a clinic? A waiting area like a cafe
The waiting area is full of greenery.
The atmosphere is inspired by birch trees in Nagano. It feels like a “forest cafe” where your autonomic nervous system gently settles down. Isn’t the vibe just lovely〜? Apparently they’ve added even more greenery too〜
There are 4 consultation rooms, plus a nutrition counseling room
It’s designed to reduce waiting times.
One room will be used for counseling with a registered dietitian. It’s nice to be able to casually ask about food-related concerns while you’re waiting, isn’t it?
Want to try the rehab experience “Redcord”?
They’re introducing the rope-based rehabilitation system “Redcord” from Norway, a leader in advanced rehabilitation.
It’s rehab where you support your body with red ropes and move with light effort. Both individual and group sessions are OK. At the open house, there will be short trial sessions〜.
Facilities that support both cardiac rehab and orthopedic rehab
Heart rate and exercise load are centrally managed by PC, with control possible for up to 5 machines at the same time. There will also be group lessons that can be tailored to individuals. Two restrooms are installed, including a wheelchair-accessible restroom〜.
Treating the person, not just the illness
According to Director Nakashima,
The goal is not only to cure, but to support “that person’s life.” Around 15 staff members who gathered under the shared idea of contributing to society will be welcoming visitors〜
