A perfect match
The tip was sent in on April 18, so it was probably seen recently.
It seems to have been sleeping north of Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi, around the area just past the former Hyogo Nutrition, Culinary and Confectionery College.
We also received a report of a raccoon spotted in Noma-cho on April 16. Maybe they’ve started appearing because it’s getting warmer?? Though since they’re nocturnal, that probably has nothing to do with it.
According to this page about wildlife damage prevention goods, nutria have strong jaws and can easily bite off something about the size of a human finger. Scary.
