I got takeout of the “Katsuno Bento” from the katsu specialty shop “かつ乃,” which recently opened right by Koshienguchi Station.
“かつ乃” “Katsuno Bento”
Katsuno Bento 1,000 yen (tax included)
This is the shop’s recommended bento, packed with five kinds of fried items: fillet, minced meat cutlet, fried chicken, asparagus roll, and shrimp.
It comes with both tonkatsu sauce and tartar sauce.

Fillet
The meat is nice and substantial, tender, and easy to bite through.
Minced meat cutlet
Look at this. Such a juicy cross-section, right? The seasoning is pretty gentle, but the natural flavor of the meat really shines.
Fried chicken
This fried chicken has a mild, gentle flavor. It uses chicken breast, so it’s nice and light.
Asparagus roll
Since this is a katsu bento, it’s katsu, katsu, and more katsu, but the asparagus adds a refreshing touch. Vegetables really are great.
Shrimp
Soooo long! A fried shrimp.
The crispy bite and the plump texture of the shrimp are fantastic!
It goes so well with the tartar sauce 👍
This shredded cabbage is so fresh and juicy. An oasis!
The potato salad and takuan pickles also make great palate cleansers.
The sauce is on the sweet side with only a mild spiciness. Overall, the flavors are gentle, it isn’t too oily, and I could just keep eating.
“かつ乃” Menu

In addition to bentos, they also have individual items and curry. Apparently, you can choose your favorite individual items and turn them into a bento too!
