It looks like a gourmet event called “The Grand Prix for Dishes That Pair Well with Yebisu Beer” will be held starting April 25.

What is “The Grand Prix for Dishes That Pair Well with Yebisu Beer”?
“The Grand Prix for Dishes That Pair Well with Yebisu Beer” is an event where people vote on pairings of dishes specially created by restaurants to match the flavor of “Yebisu Beer,” and the grand prix winner is chosen. It originally seems to have been a gourmet event hosted since 2015 by the Ebisu-area local media outlet “Ebisu Shimbun” in Tokyo. This time, it will be held for the first time in the Nishinomiya area, home to “Nishinomiya Shrine,” the head shrine of Ebessan and a place with deep ties to Yebisu Beer. The event is being hosted by Nishinomiya’s local media outlet “Nishimag.” Amazing!!
Participating Shops
This time, the following 13 shops are pairing Yebisu Beer with their dishes.

There were quite a few places that Nishitsu has visited for gourmet articles.
It seems they have also made a booklet, which is being distributed at the participating shops and around stations.
Here’s what it looks like inside ↓

I’ve had ROMO’s hamburger steak before, and now I really want to try it with Yebisu Beer.

Apparently, if you order the special dish set at a shop, you can get a stamp. If you collect all 13 stamps, you can attend the after-party. That definitely sounds interesting!!!

This is the map of all the participating shops.
Finally
I wonder which shop will win the grand prix. You could vote for your favorite place, or use this opportunity to try somewhere new. By the way, the organizer “Nishimag” is apparently a local media outlet started as a community contribution project by “Rex Co., Ltd.,” a measurement equipment rental company based in Nishinomiya. They run it under the concept of making this city more interesting, and since Nishitsu also wants to make Nishinomiya more interesting, we’re totally on the same page!
