The theme song for the all-access documentary film about Japan’s national baseball team, Samurai Japan, “Beyond the Dream: A Record of the World’s Best,” is “Sayonara no Kyou ni” by Aimyon, who is from Nishinomiya.

There’s a lyric in “Sayonara no Kyou ni” that says “walking along the riverbed,” and since Aimyon is a Nishinomiya local, I imagine she often went to play by the Mukogawa River. So I’ve taken the liberty of wondering if maybe that lyric came from remembering some painful part of her past.
