Welcome to “Nishikon,” a section where readers’ “I did this in Nishinomiya!” stories become articles.(The name is Nishikon, but it has absolutely nothing to do with matchmaking or anything like that.)
This comes from Nishitsu reader “ささこ.”

This time, ささこ is reporting on the “Yebisu Curry Udon” from “うまいもん屋 晴(はる)”, located on the 3rd floor of a building in front of Kotoen Station. It won the Top Gold Prize at the 1st “Curry Udon Koshien”♪
Here it is on the map↓
The address is 3F Avance Koto, 11-23 Shoraiso, Nishinomiya City.
“うまいもん屋 晴(はる)”’s “Yebisu Curry Udon”

I heard that the “Yebisu Curry Udon”, which won the Top Gold Prize at “Curry Udon Koshien,” is available in a daily limited quantity of 10 servings, so I went to try it 😊

“Yebisu Curry Udon” is a curry udon from the seafood and Japanese cuisine restaurant “うまいもん屋 晴”, and it was originally served as a finishing dish after a meal✨

Yebisu Curry Udon ¥1,000(tax included)

Whoa! Look at this!

Apparently the topping is a green onion called “Nishinomiya Negi,” grown in Nishinomiya.

There’s a green onion called Nishinomiya Negi! It’s nice to see them using local ingredients♪

The udon noodles were a little thinner than I’d imagined✨

The thick soup really clings to the noodles!

The pork and onions are also from Awaji Island, so it’s packed with regional ingredients.

“うまいもん屋 晴” is driven by the idea of delivering the deliciousness of ingredients straight from their place of origin. That commitment is packed into this curry udon too✨

It even has aburaage fried tofu, giving it a comforting Japanese feel♪

This curry udon really warms you up on a cold day. It isn’t too spicy, but I still found myself going “hee-haah 💦” and breaking a light sweat〜

I asked “しゃちょ美,” who tried it while covering the Curry Udon Gold Prize award ceremony, and she said it was mild, full of dashi flavor, and tasted perfect as a finishing dish✨

To enjoy every last bit of the remaining soup, I ordered an extra “small rice” 🍚

Whoa! The finishing dish after the finishing dish!

At the end, it felt light and easy, almost like drinking it down, and it was delicious😊
