A Chinese Restaurant Called 康乃馨 Has Opened in Koshienguchi Honwaka Shopping Street Where Takawa Used to Be

A Chinese restaurant called “中国菜館 康乃馨(Kannaisin)” has opened in the Koshienguchi Honwaka Shopping Street.

It seems to be an authentic Chinese restaurant where the food is prepared by a Japanese chef. The restaurant also has an Instagram account now😃

The address is Koshienguchi Chance Building 1F, 2-16-1 Koshienguchi, Nishinomiya, Hyogo.

This used to be the ramen and gyoza restaurant “Takawa”. Before that, it was Menya Toku.

Area Around “中国菜館 康乃馨”

If you go this way, you’ll find Nishimura Honey Koshienguchi, Gyoza Marché, and others, leading toward National Route 2.

In the opposite direction, you’ll find Yakiniku Tonya Yamiichi, Marumeri BREAD, and others, leading toward the area in front of Koshienguchi Station.

As of August 8, there didn’t seem to be any prominent signage yet, but…

By the night of August 9, the sign had been put up😃 Some of the signs and lanterns from the Takawa days are still there too.

The menu has all sorts of items, including cold dishes, stir-fries, rice bowls, and noodles.

They seem to have set menus as well.

Their hours appear to be 11:00〜14:30 for lunch and 17:00〜23:00 for dinner.

Final Thoughts

By the way, the name 康乃馨(Kannaisin) is apparently the Chinese character rendering of the flower “carnation”🌹 Koshienguchi has many long-established Chinese restaurants, but I don’t think many new ones have opened recently, so I’m sure quite a few people are curious about this place😄
