Did you know that “Miyatan social distancing signs” can be found all over Nishinomiya?
Maybe thanks to these signs, “social distancing” is spreading in the most unexpected places.

This is the Miyatan sign you can spot here and there around Nishinomiya City↑
It turns out people may not be the only ones looking at this sign.

A duck family is social distancing too.
By Higashigawa River, next to Itoman Swimming School.

The cats are social distancing too.
Or rather, social distan-cing with cats.
On the north side of Nishinomiyahama, next to the drawbridge.
Finally

Here is what Nishinomiyahama, one of my running routes where the cats were, looks like recently.
There are more people fishing than I ever would have imagined before.
Fishing is an outdoor activity that naturally keeps people socially distanced.
It looks like more people may be taking it up.
Thanks to the Miyatan effect, social distancing might even be happening under the sea.
