An article introducing a GPS art artist from and living in Nishinomiya appeared on the front page of the Asahi Shimbun evening edition dated July 15.
He creates these works of art using the “tracks he has run.”

He originally worked as a teacher in Nishinomiya City.
After taking part in the Ebessan Fukuotoko race, he began his activities, and so far he has run through 46 prefectures in Japan and 10 countries around the world, creating about 340 works.
“In Memory of Ken Shimura” is a popular work we previously introduced on Nishitsu.（21km）
The diagonal line of the Ai~n pose is “Koshien-suji”.

He also draws outside Nishinomiya. This work was drawn in Kyoto, with a total distance of 61km.
Inside the mouth is the famous “Nijo Castle”. It’s being eaten by Matsuko…
A size you can compare with Lake Biwa.
But still, his love for Nishinomiya is so strong that he keeps drawing mainly around Nishinomiya.

I once drew Mickey in the gardens of the Palace of Versailles in France.
The gardens are free to enter. They’re huge, so there were also quite a few local runners around.
