From yesterday 11/18 through today 11/19, a monkey has been spotted one after another around Nishinomiya City.

First, let’s start with the important part. From Nishinomiya City Hall.
Residents in the area are asked to be especially careful about the following.
1. Do not feed monkeys or show them food
Try not to leave food items, such as kitchen waste, outside.
2. Do not go near monkeys
If you reach out your hand, you may be bitten or scratched. If you encounter a monkey, leave the area without provoking it.
3. Make sure your doors and windows are locked
Monkeys may enter homes even through second-floor windows, so please be very careful.

[Kamizonocho] Friday, November 18, around 8:15 a.m.
The first sighting was in Kamizonocho, roughly halfway between Kurakuenguchi Station and Koyoen Station. It was around the Famima.
Apparently, it was spotted near 2 Kamizonocho at around 8:15 a.m. on November 18.
Maybe it was found along the Osawa Nishinomiya Line. On the sighting information map, the spot was shown slightly north of the Famima.

[Chitosecho] Friday, November 18, around 10:40 a.m.
About two hours later, the next place the monkey was spotted was on a street near Sakura Shukugawa Station, right by Yasui Elementary School.
This is the Chitosecho intersection. Sakura Shukugawa Station can be seen in the back. It seems the monkey was on the road that turns left in the foreground of the photo.
Yasui Elementary School can be seen on the right in the back. The monkey was reportedly spotted on this street in the photo.

[Nishinomiyahama 3-chome] Friday, November 19, around 6:30 a.m.
The next sighting was the following morning, November 19. This time it was in Nishinomiyahama.
It had moved quite far south.
The straight-line distance is said to be 2.67 km.
It was on a street near Miyakko Kidsdam and the Nishinomiyahama General Park multipurpose field.
It was reportedly spotted on the street, not inside the facility.
The Wangan Route is on the left. It was probably along this road. If you go over the slope visible in the back, you reach Ashiya City.
[Nishinomiyahama 4-chome 15] Friday, November 19, around 10:13 a.m.
About three and a half hours later, it seems to have been spotted inside a care facility a little farther south.
Judging from the address, it seems to be inside the care facility visible in the photo.

This is the back side of the spot from earlier. Shin-Nishinomiya Yacht Harbor is on the left. The building on the right is likely the facility where the monkey was spotted.
There has been no additional information since today’s sighting in Nishinomiyahama.
Last time, a monkey came around July, and monkeys seem to be coming down into urban Nishinomiya from time to time.
