Welcome to “This Week in Nishinomiya,” where we look back at the openings and closings around Nishinomiya covered this week (9/16–9/22) on Nishitsu (Nishinomiya Tsushin), along with other things that got people talking!
Gardens New Building “Plus-kan”
It has already opened, but we went to check out Plus-kan before the opening. There are six restaurants, and we actually went into four of them. Aside from McDonald’s, they all serve alcohol too, so it looks like a fun place to visit. We’ll be showing photos that didn’t make it into the article during the Nishitsu-dori livestream, so be sure to check it out.
Miyakko Ramen Takes 1st Place in Nishinomiya Fried Rice Popularity Ranking
In Nishitsu’s biweekly survey feature asking about favorite fried rice spots in Nishinomiya, “Miyakko Ramen” came in at No. 1. It also ranked highly when we did ramen, so it’s no exaggeration to call Miyakko Ramen one of Nishinomiya’s soul foods. Oh, I forgot to ask for responses for the next survey. Yikes

Something That Changed at Nishitsu This Week
There was one thing this week.
Shachomi Has Been Out and About Around Nishinomiya
Earlier, we wrote a food article about Kin no Torikara at Don Quijote, and this time we heard they had started an apple candy shop called “Ringo no Omoi” in the same location, so we went to check it out!

We’ll write an article about it soon.

We also went again to a special tasting event at Nihonsakari. Some Nishitsu readers were there too.
It makes us really happy to have readers introduce us like this.

There will also be a toast event celebrating Hanshin’s championship at Ozeki’s Kanju-an. We’ll write about that tomorrow too!
So, if there are any interesting tips around Nishinomiya, we’ll keep turning them into articles! Please keep sending them through our information submission form, LINE, Instagram, or Twitter
