At Nishi2, we occasionally receive requests like “Please find this” or “Please look into that.” But there’s only so much we can do on our own, so this is the section where we ask our readers for help. That’s Miyacco Detective.

A Waldorf doll disappeared!?
Around noon on April 6, Hiro shared information that they had spotted what looked like a Waldorf doll near the stairs a little north along the river by National Route 2.
Nishi2 quickly published an article titled “[Lost Item] A Waldorf doll was found just north of Route 2 in Shukugawa.” A “Waldorf doll” is a special doll handmade by a mother using natural materials. It is said to be about 30 cm in size.
The owner contacted us: “That’s my daughter’s doll!”
Amazingly, after seeing the article, the owner contacted us and said, “That’s my daughter’s precious doll!” Here is the actual message, in digest form↓
To explain the location in more detail, Nishi2 got in touch by sharing the Google Map that Hiro had provided.
They went to the site, but… it wasn’t there
According to the owner, they went to the location right away, but unfortunately, the doll could not be found.
Then, Hiro sent us more information:
A stuffed toy had been turned in to the police
That’s what we heard.
The owner apparently contacted the police, but they were told:
“It has not arrived yet.”
So at that point, all they could do was wait a little longer…
Hiro also kindly went back to check the site one more time, just in case, but whether the doll had been moved or someone had taken it into safekeeping, there seem to be no clues so far.
It’s about 30 cm tall! Her daughter is very sad
The owner sent us a photo. It gives a good sense of the doll’s size.
“It’s fairly large.”
It was one of her daughter’s absolute favorites, and she is still sad that it hasn’t been found. They are hoping, “If someone picked it up and is keeping it safe…”
