Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi has apparently been No. 1 for five years in a row
The “Most Desirable Places to Live (Tokyo Metropolitan Area / Kansai Area) 2020” survey has been conducted 32 times in the past.
Among them, Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi has apparently ranked No. 1 for five consecutive years.
The reasons were also listed.
It takes about 14 minutes to get to both Umeda and Kobe. Maybe the big appeal is that you can get to either one in about the same amount of time.
And as for commercial facilities, Nishinomiya Gardens goes without saying, but ACTA Nishinomiya, with MUJI and Junkudo, is probably another major strength.
Second-place Shukugawa has beautiful streets and a quiet atmosphere
Shukugawa was ranked 4th last time,
and it seems to have moved up to 2nd this time.

Shukugawa Sakura-michi has that nice feeling where the Shukugawa River and the quiet streetscape blend together.
Even though it’s the next station over from Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi, it ranks for completely different reasons, which is pretty impressive.

Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi and Shukugawa beat out places like Umeda, Okamoto, Mikage, and Ashiyagawa to take 1st and 2nd place!(Ahem)
