A feature where Nishi2 writers investigate Nishinomiya’s mysteries and questions and turn them into articles: “Nishi2 Detective” (with dramatization ver.)
We’ve been getting more inquiries again lately, so we’re reposting this!
This time, the request comes from “Please Give Me Curry Soup.”
This article is brought to you by “ALBOBBY,” a salon that supports Nishi2.
Here’s the photo attached to the request ↓

Y-yeah, it certainly does look a bit like a doll.
What on earth is it?
Nishi2 received several similar requests about this.
Here are some other photos ↓

We received information that it was above the Bantaki Tunnel.
From ACTA Nishinomiya too ↓

You can see it just a little left of the exact center of the photo (to the left of Mount Kabuto), standing all by itself.

It can also be seen from Kambara.
And from around Kwansei Gakuin University ↓

It has a rather eerie feel.

Black, Cylindrical, and Something Like White Eyes
From another photo provided by a reader,
Nishi2 began to form a certain hypothesis.

(Photo: 2106)
Listing the features of this mysterious object:
- Black
- Something white
- Cylindrical in shape
Based on these clues, we spent several days investigating within Nishi2.
Then, online, we discovered a certain video.
This is it!! This!
A cylindrical UFO
So maybe that mysterious object is some sort of top-secret national project, being secretly manufactured with aliens or something.
Nishinomiya is a critically important location for the country.
There are rumors that UFOs appear around Mount Rokko, and there’s also the mystique of being near Mount Kabuto.
And then there’s the fact that Nishinomiya ranked No. 1 among cities people want to live in.
Taking all of that together, it makes perfect sense that aliens would choose this place after Nevada.
We Discover a Closed Gate
If we left this alone, humanity might face extinction, so to prevent that, the Nishi2 reporting team decided to go to the site.
But first, we had to pinpoint the location.
So, let’s look at the map.

(Map: © OpenStreetMap contributors)
It’s above the Bantaki Tunnel.
We learned that you can go up from the winding mountain road near Bantaki (apparently called Ogasa Pass).
“All right, we can get there.”

(The Nishi2 reporting team heading to the site)
And so, we set off.
We took the Osawa Nishinomiya Line, which appears frequently on Nishi2, and headed toward the Bantaki Tunnel.

We were able to confirm that object from around Juurinji as well.

To get onto Bantaki’s winding mountain road, turn left at the intersection just before the Bantaki Tunnel.
This road is one that even local residents almost never use.
As we continued on, perhaps as an intimidation tactic against our reporting team,
we encountered this ↓

We ran into persistent sabotage repeatedly urging us to “return to the Bantaki Tunnel.”

Take a look.
Wouldn’t this be the perfect place to hide something?
And the clincher is this ↓

It may look like a road sign, but it could also be considered a variation of a crop circle: a warning message to humanity.
We found something ↓

C-could this be?!

It’s a gate.
This must be a top-secret national facility.
No doubt about it.
We Encounter a Warning
First, we observed whether it might be possible to enter the facility.

We confirmed that electricity was running through it. This means there must be a secret facility inside.

This gate.
It had world-class security that would surprise even the U.S. Department of Defense.

Look!
It wasn’t a three-digit lock, but a four-digit combination padlock.
“Wait a second. With this security… couldn’t we just climb over it?”

The very moment we were about to climb over,
a dangerous sign caught our eye.

“That dangerous color reminds us of blood. There’s a warning written in red letters!!What does docomo mean?? The mobile carrier??”
Even so,

“We can’t read the warning.”
But maybe this place is some kind of power spot.
When we strained our eyes, the text began to appear.
and is a dead end.
Therefore, passage by unauthorized persons is prohibited.
For inquiries regarding this road, please contact the number below.
“Ah, I see.”
“It’s NTT.”
“And passage is prohibited.”
We cannot trespass.
NTT could be a cover operation, and there may be traps set up to erase evidence of this facility, with bullets flying in from unexpected directions.
Well, in that case, there’s nothing we can do.
