We got a tip that there’s a “giant stone chair” somewhere between Gabeno Castle and Mt. Kannon, so we went looking for it!

Starting from Hankyu Shukugawa Station, we kept going uphill for about 3.5 km before finally reaching the trailhead
Although it’s marked as a “tourist attraction” on maps, we arrived at the little-known summit of Gabeno Castle (583 m)!
Now the real search begins!! From here, we’ll continue westward and head toward the summit of Mt. Kannon to the north!
The forest road is full of fresh, negative-ion-rich air.
It doesn’t seem like the stone chair we’re looking for would be here.
Oh, the path is getting rocky!
Found something someone left behind. It’s over two hours on foot from the station one way… can they even come back to get it?
Whoa, what’s this!?
Could it be a marker pointing to the chair!?
That’s what we thought, but nope.
For some reason, there were tons of mysterious balance towers made from stacked pebbles near the summit of Mt. Kannon. lol
In the end, we went back and forth along all sorts of paths like a maze, but we still couldn’t find the “giant stone chair.” Sob.
Before we knew it, we had reached the trail descending toward Jurinji Temple.

So frustrating. Where on earth is this “giant stone chair”～～～!!!
