It looks like the shop is currently closed for renovations. It says they are scheduled to reopen in February.

What’s around “Shumai no ◯yama”
Across the street, ramen shops line the road, including Ramen Tanron, Hiidashiya, and Marutaka Chuka Soba.
If you go this way, you’ll find Cafe Strawberry Fields, and then you’ll come out onto Yamate Kansen. At the intersection, there’s Ramen Yumedai.
If you go in the opposite direction, you’ll find places like Toshiharu Coffee, Super Maruhachi, Genmai Senmonten Gengen, Udonya Wanpaku, and Cantonese Restaurant Gaen.

Looking closely at the sign, it used to say “Shumai no” ◯yama, but at some point it changed to “Chinese Cuisine” ◯yama😃 I thought it might have changed with this renovation, but according to the shop’s Instagram, it had already become “Chinese Cuisine” as of August 2023. I hadn’t noticed~ Still, the word “shumai” is written on the pillar, so I’m guessing they still have shumai on the menu as before. It’ll be interesting to see what changes with the renewal.
