The Difference Between Bar and Marché
First, let’s look at the difference between Bar and Marché at Koshienguchi Bar.
Bar
Bar refers to restaurants and eateries🍔.
Menus are available for 500 yen (1 coin), 1,000 yen (2 coins), or 2,000 yen.
Marché
Marché refers to retail🛒 and service shops.
Unlike the bar menus, it’s not a one-coin system, but they offer special prices🉐 that are different from their usual prices.
No Tickets Needed, So It’s Easy to Drop By
At Koshienguchi Bar, no tickets are required.
It’s reassuring that all you have to do is enter a shop and say, “I’d like the bar menu, please”👍
Map
Here’s the map🌐 for Koshienguchi Bar & Marché.
North of JR Koshienguchi Station

菓子工房ダヴィンチ is quite far north of the Meishin Expressway, but it is one of the participating bar shops.
South of JR Koshienguchi Station

There is a shopping street on the south side of Koshienguchi Station, so naturally there are quite a lot of participating shops.
The official map is being distributed at Bar山谷. It’s located roughly in the center of the south-side map.
List of Participating Shops
Here are the details for the 116 shops🏤 participating in “Koshienguchi Bar & Marché.”

Some shops may only have a 500 yen bar menu, or may not have a 2,000 yen menu, so be sure to check.
Also, bar menus end once they sell out, so it might be a good idea to decide on a few shops you want to visit in advance.

Finally
We thought we’d visited the Koshienguchi area quite a bit for Nishi2, but we were surprised to realize there are still so many places we haven’t been to at all.
One of the big advantages of a bar event is that it makes it easy to drop by shops that are usually hard to enter, so why not take this opportunity to check them out?
