(Excuse the mask)
“ENSEMBLE slow & brisk,” a cafe stand inside Mukogawa Women’s University, opened on April 1. (We covered it once before on Nishitsu)
This time, thanks to an invitation from someone connected to Rabbi’s Cafe in Naruo, we were given a special look inside, so we’re introducing it here.
Just to be clear, only students can use it. But it’s amazing, so it’s definitely worth seeing.
Here it is↓

What an incredibly lovely spaceーーーーー.
1st Floor: ENSEMBLE slow
First, let’s take a look at ENSEMBLE slow on the 1st floor.

It’s a cafe with a chic, grown-up black-toned atmosphere. The wall decor is seriously stylish.

That object in the middle is actually a washboard used by women in Africa!
According to Mr. Matsuo, the creative director who designed this place, since it’s a women’s university, there are several objects related to women. (Apparently not everything, since the overall balance matters too)

It almost doesn’t feel like Japan, right?
And what caught my eye was the red object on the right.

Can you read this pattern?
If you’re on your phone, try holding the screen a little farther away. Can you see it now??
ENSE
MBLE
“ENSEMBLE.” That’s right, it’s the name of the cafe. It’s designed so you can only read it when you step back a little.

The menu mainly features drinks. It’s not just stylish — the prices are worth noting too! From 150 to 380 yen
Now, here’s one photo that’ll make you want a drink here.

Students get to drink stylish drinks like this. So nice, so nice.

These relaxing chairs. I doubt many people would believe this is a university cafeteria.

White, black, white, black, white, black, white. Chairs.

I’ll say it again: is this really a university cafeteria?!

Look up, and this is what you see. It feels more like a futuristic office at Apple or Google. It’s surprising to see a university in Nishinomiya this far ahead!
2nd Floor: ENSEMBLE brisk
The cafe on the 2nd floor is ENSEMBLE brisk.

The 2nd floor has a lighter cafe vibe. There’s a map, so let’s take a look. Personally, I’m into this fluorescent yellow-green color.

Everything is in English. Very global. It looks like the menu changes depending on the time of day. (Nishitsu also went global just on 4/1)

Of course, this object was on the 2nd floor too!
Can you see the corner glowing?? Believe it or not, that’s not an LED or anything!
Menu↓

Rice + main dish + 2 sides for 500 yen!!! Sorry the photo is taken at an angle

The food menu looks like something students would really enjoy! Eventually, students will apparently help develop menu items for the cafe. Sounds fun.

There are large windows along the side, making the space very bright and fresh.

It has an open atrium, so you can also see the cafe on the 1st floor.

Their university life is definitely going to be wonderful.

That was our look at “ENSEMBLE slow & brisk,” the cafe stand that just opened inside Mukogawa Women’s University on April 1!
Finally
It’s somehow really nice to know there’s such a stylish cafe at a university in Nishinomiya.
It seems that Mukogawa Women’s University students and moms from the affiliated kindergarten can use it. If you know someone who can go, try asking them all about it while saying, “Lucky you, lucky you.”
↓Rabbi’s Cafe near Naruo-Mukogawajoshidai-Mae Station is open to anyone, so we recommend it.

I couldn’t help imagining what it would be like if I were a student… lol
