A Reassuring Program Supervised by a University Professor
This program is supervised by Professor Katsushi Yokoi of Osaka Metropolitan University, who has spent many years researching cognitive functions and related fields. Its effectiveness in dementia prevention has been scientifically recognized. And when the program was held in the past, many participants said things like “the program itself was fun” and “I could feel the effects,” with a satisfaction rate of 98.1%! (Those who answered “good” or “fairly good” on a five-point scale)
We Looked Into What These Brain-Boosting Exercises Are Like
“Good for the Brain! Easy Brain Exercises” consists of 3 things: throwing sticks, moving, and talking!
- Exercises using sticks
- Recreational activities where you move your body like a game
- Group talks where you enjoy conversation
① Here’s What the Stick Exercises Are Like
These are safe and fun exercises done while sitting in a chair, using a stick.

- Warm-up exercises
- Throwing and catching
- Rotating
- Balancing
- Dropping
By enjoyably repeating these five movements, it seems to help prevent falls. The key seems to be doing movements that throw off your balance, something people rarely experience in daily life
② Recreation Together with Everyone
You use your own body like a controller and enjoy game-like activities while working together with other participants. Using your head while moving your body is said to energize the brain’s “frontal lobe”, which apparently helps prevent dementia and falls.
③ Talking in Group Discussions Helps Prevent Dementia
In the group talks, everyone discusses things they do in daily life and things they would like to try. For example, talking about cooking or hobbies.

Talking about everyday events and things you want to challenge yourself with is said to have the effect of boosting “cognitive reserve,” which helps slow cognitive decline.
For more details, please read the official page.
Cognitive Function Measurement Is Also Available!
Participants will apparently also be able to have their cognitive function measured. Since it’s the kind of measurement that can tell you “Am I okay?”, it’s something you’d want to know.
