A Nishitsu writer investigates Nishinomiya’s mysteries and questions in our “Nishitsu Detective” corner.
This time, we received a request from “Yogini.” ↓
“There’s a vegetable stand that appears irregularly at Netz Toyota Shukugawa, but whenever I think I’ll go, it’s gone… What is it?” That’s the email we got!
This article is brought to you by “ALBOBBY,” a salon that supports Nishitsu.
To find out the true identity of this “mysterious pop-up greengrocer”, it was time for the Nishitsu Detective to head out.
The investigation was handled by
, who has previously reported firsthand on vegetable stands while out running.

After getting the opening info from Mr. Shibata, the manager of Netz Toyota Shukugawa, we headed straight over!

Here are the details 🥬↑
Tamba vegetables “Kotonoha Farm”
It looks like they are basically open every Saturday from 10:00 to 14:00!
Here it is on the map ↓
The address is 1-21 Shirogaboricho, Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.

The incredibly friendly manager came over and talked to us♪
And right away, he even offered us a taste of “hozuki”!

My first-ever hozuki! With a little pop in texture, a fruity aroma filled my mouth ✨ So good!!

They sell colorful, freshly harvested “Tamba vegetables”.

Micro cucumbers!? The shape is adorable! I’m so curious about the taste!!

Totchana!? A vegetable I’ve never heard of before! A native variety from Hyogo!? ✨
I just want to munch on it and bite right in!! (My Year of the Rabbit instincts are kicking in 🐰)

Purple chili pepper!? It totally looks like an eggplant!! 🍆
Apparently, “when you heat it, it turns a beautiful green”. Seriously!? (Proof at the very bottom)

Shadow Queen! What a cool name!!
It’s apparently purple because it’s rich in anthocyanins.

Amazingly, they grow as many as 150 varieties of vegetables throughout the year! ✨
All of them are grown without pesticides or chemical fertilizers, and they bring their recommended seasonal vegetables to “Netz Toyota Shukugawa” for sale!

Since I love cooking, I bought these four! I cooked them up right away and enjoyed them 🍳(Exactly 1,000 yen♪)

The biggest surprise was that the “kimchi chili pepper” was actually a chili pepper you can bite right into: “not spicy” and “full of flavor”! At “Kotonoha Farm”, you can enjoy outstanding vegetables that are a little different from the usual!!

By the way, it seems they also sell vegetables every Tuesday evening from 17:00 to 19:00 in front of “MORI CYCLE” near Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi!

Finally
When you sauté purple chili peppers, do they really turn “green”!? ↓
Vegetables are fun to see and learn about! And even more fun when you cook and eat them!!
Why not stop by Kotonoha Farm’s vegetable stand on Tuesdays and Saturdays?^^✨
