Nishi2’s Featured Event in Nishinomiya
Sunday the 8th
This week, there is one event Nishi2 is keeping an eye on.
As a Naoki Shimizu × Nishinomiya Tsushin collaboration event, we’ll be holding a “GPS-Run.”
It will be a short event, but Naoki Shimizu will talk to children about his sports challenges, and there will also be a small commemorative photo session. Going forward, we hope Shimizu-san and Nishi2 can team up to create the biggest event in Nishinomiya!

This Week’s Wrap-Up
This week, the article Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi Then and Now drew a lot of traffic. We’re running a survey about what people call Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi: the “Kitaguchi” camp or the “Nishikita” camp. As of now, the Nishikita camp is leading with 58%. I currently live in Ashiya, but in the past I used to say Kitaguchi. Then people around me started calling it Nishikita, and I ended up doing the same. Maybe I’m the type who’s easily influenced.
Next, the article Nishinomiya ranked 2nd in Hyogo Prefecture’s “Top 5 Truly Attractive Municipalities” also got a lot of attention. Rather than a simple survey, it seems to be based on various quantifiable indicators. Out of 1,741 municipalities, Nishinomiya ranked 32nd nationwide, which really makes me think again how amazing it is as a livable city.
Last week, I wrote that we were struggling because we didn’t have much information, and four people sent us tips. Thank you so much!! We’d really appreciate it if you continue to send us information, even quick and simple tips.
On Sunday, we’ll be doing a GPS run around Hanshin Nishinomiya in collaboration with Naoki Shimizu. We’ll share what it was like in a future article, so please look forward to it!
Last week was cool, but the heat has come back this week. During seasonal changes like this, it seems your immune system can get thrown off and you may be more likely to get sick, so please take care.
