This is what it was like when
went to Yakujin-san on January 18, 2020.
, who didn’t actually go, is writing this after only receiving the photo data from Mama. Sorry if I say anything off the mark <m(__)m>
In front of Mondo-Yakujin Station↓

There are so many people. Of course, the area around Mondo Yakujin is closed to traffic(we wrote an article about it).

A shot from the station side. There are food stalls in front of the station too, and it looks lively.

You go along this road.

There are stalls along the approach too. They’re guiding visitors along a set worship route to avoid congestion.

They’re selling things like yakuyoke manju, buns for warding off misfortune.

The recently added dragon painting. We wrote an article about it at the end of last year.

Look, there’s a dragon up above! So cool!

Someone seems to be having a great time. (Update: Apparently the reason they were so happy was because they got daikichi, the best fortune ヽ(^。^)ノ)

These are soegoma tablets for prayers to ward off misfortune. You write your name and age (by the traditional counted-age system), and your wish on the back.
It looks like they also sell omikuji fortunes, candles, and incense here.

Amazingly, they’ve got kids covered too! There’s a capsule toy machine!
It says “Ryuo Omikuji,” and it matches the dragon on the wall.

A huge incense burner. This is where you place the incense sticks. So much smoke~~. I don’t mind the smell of incense.

Among all the sake breweries of Nishinomiya, the Tigers are here too!

This looks like a goma fire ritual. It’s burning like crazy. A little scary…

This road you take on the way back has a ton of stalls. Apparently, even this is smaller in scale than it used to be.

They’re selling Demon Slayer items. Also, I can see that mouse, a slime, and something on the left that looks kind of like a certain nationally beloved anime cat-type robot.

A monkey performance. There are so many people. Of course, this is different from the monkey that’s been showing up in Amagasaki.
Finally
Looking at these photos, I thought maybe all this energy is enough to blow misfortune away.
Events that give you energy are great, aren’t they?
Today is the final day of the Yakuyoke Taisai festival. Why not go check it out!
