“Ichiniisan” is a restaurant originally from Kagoshima that serves kurobuta pork shabu-shabu eaten with soba dipping sauce.
There’s also a location on the 4th floor of Gardens, and this is the only one in the Kansai area.
By the way, there’s a ramen shop in Nishinomiya with a similar name, “Ichiniisan,” so don’t mix them up…
It looks like they also have lunch menu items besides shabu-shabu.
This time, we stopped by during lunchtime.

Yushoku Tonsai “Ichiniisan Hankyu Nishinomiya Gardens” Food
We decided to choose from the lunch menu.
Since I wanted something where I could enjoy the pork, I was torn about getting tonkatsu, but Gardens has a tonkatsu specialty shop, so this time I went with ginger pork.

This is the “Kurobuta Ginger Pork Set” (1,080 yen).
It’s surprisingly reasonable.

This is the main ginger pork dish.
The flavor and aroma of soy sauce and ginger really bring out the sweetness of the kurobuta pork.
Ginger pork usually has a casual, everyday image, but this felt like a more upscale version.
It was very tasty and went perfectly with rice.

The miso soup is akadashi.
Ginger pork with akadashi seems pretty unusual, doesn’t it?
Akadashi has a Nagoya-like image, but it went really well with the ginger pork and was delicious.

Rice refills are free.
Since ginger pork makes you want to keep eating rice, that’s a nice touch.
This time I had the ginger pork from the lunch menu, but if I get the chance, I’d definitely like to try the shabu-shabu too.
Since I was there, I decided to have one more item after the meal.

Here it is.
This is their “Homemade Rice Koji Amazake” (250 yen), made at their own factory.
It was a very rich amazake.
They say it’s made without sugar, but it had a strong natural sweetness and was really good.
Apparently, this is also available for takeout.

This is the lunch menu.
There are lots of options besides shabu-shabu too.

Here’s the drink menu.
By the way, when I asked the staff, they said the full menu is available even during lunchtime, so I’ll include the menus other than the lunch menu as well.

The table seating is arranged like this.
The square tables look good for 3 to 4 people, while the larger tables feel more like counter seating and seem good for 1 to 2 people.
It’s not shown in the photos, but they also have tatami seating.

The restaurant is on the 4th floor of Gardens.

This is the exterior of the restaurant.

There’s a shabu-shabu sign too~~

There was also a lunch menu sign.
This time, I’m planning to have lunch.
