See our Gardens lunch roundup article here↓
We visited the Korean restaurant 韓美膳(Hanbije) on the 4th floor of Hankyu Nishinomiya Gardens.
I’ve been going to Gardens a lot lately, and the gourmet floor is packed no matter when you visit.
I’d like to put a little more effort into writing gourmet articles about Gardens, too.
Apparently, 韓美膳(Hanbije) also has tapioca drinks and shaved ice.
Sounds exciting~

Food at “韓美膳(Hanbije) Hankyu Nishinomiya Gardens”

From the “Meat Half & Half” options, I ordered the “B Set” (1,480 yen).
It’s a set with beef kalbi and Sangen pork samgyeopsal.
Looks delicious~

First up is the “japchae salad.”
Japchae is the name of a Korean glass noodle dish, so in Japanese terms, it’s like a glass noodle salad.

You use these seasonings on the table.
For the salad, it’s the “yangnyeomjang.”
It’s a little spicy, but not too much.
It’s a spicy miso-style sauce with lots of umami.

This is the “soup.”
It’s seaweed soup.
It has a gentle flavor.
Since there are many spicy dishes, a mild-tasting soup is really nice.

This is the “seafood chijimi.”
Chijimi has become something people commonly eat these days, hasn’t it?
It’s just right as a palate cleanser between bites.

This rice is “barley rice.”
It’s Japanese rice, but rice really does go well with Korean food.

This is the main dish: “beef kalbi + Sangen pork samgyeopsal.”
Both are cooked through nicely but still juicy, and the seasoning isn’t too strong, so they’re very tasty.
I like things a little spicy, so I added some gochujang from the table.
It goes well with rice too, and if it hadn’t been lunchtime, I might have had a beer with it……
Now that I’ve finished everything, I might as well order some sweets too.
What should I get……

Ta-da!
It’s the “strawberry” shaved ice (1,280 yen)!!
Looks so goodーー
There are lots of strawberries.
These strawberries are frozen too.
I thought the cream on top might be whipped cream when I ate it, but it was actually a cream called “mousseline.”
It’s a cream made by mixing things like buttercream into custard cream.
There’s a Western dessert called “fraisier” that uses strawberries and mousseline, and this is exactly like a shaved ice version of a fraisier.
And on top of that, there was even red bean paste hidden near the bottom!
Which means you could also call it a shaved ice version of strawberry daifuku~~
It was a shaved ice full of fun surprisesーー
Menu at “韓美膳(Hanbije) Hankyu Nishinomiya Gardens”

This is the lunch menu.
There are various courses.
They also have lots of combinations available as Half & Half sets, pairing different courses together.
As expected, they have tapioca drinks and shaved ice too.
Inside “韓美膳(Hanbije) Hankyu Nishinomiya Gardens”

The inside looks like this, with all table seating.
It’s a little hard to tell from the photos, but I think the restaurant is quite spacious.
It should be fine even if you go with a fairly large group.
Exterior of “韓美膳(Hanbije) Hankyu Nishinomiya Gardens”

As usual, let’s go up to the 4th floor of Gardens.

This is the entrance to the restaurant.
The exterior really says “Korean food” at a glance.

The signboard and display window are colorful too.
Everything looks deliciousー
