On the 4th floor of Hankyu Nishinomiya Gardens, there’s a restaurant called “chano-ma” with a slightly unusual interior.
As the name suggests, it seems to be inspired by an “ochanoma” living room, and this cafe restaurant has seating areas where you take off your shoes and sit up on a raised tatami-style platform.
This time, we visited “chano-ma.”

“chano-ma Nishinomiya Gardens” Food
This time, I ordered the “Deli Lunch” (1,180 yen) with “Tororo Rice” (+150 yen).
For the “Deli Lunch,” you can choose three small side dishes, but this time I added one more and chose four.
You can add an extra small side dish for +150 yen.

Here is the “Deli Lunch.”
Since I added one small side dish and changed the rice to “Tororo Rice,” the total came to 1,480 yen.

This is the “Tororo Rice.”
The rice here is brown rice mixed with black rice.
Rice refills are free.

The pork miso soup also comes with free refills.
And here are the four small side dishes I chose↓

This is “Spanish Mackerel and Cabbage Simmered with Grated Daikon.”
It’s autumn now, but somehow this dish has a spring-like feel to it.

This is the “Fresh Green Salad.”
It includes broccoli, green beans, and more.

This is “Ginger Pork.”
The flavor goes perfectly with the brown rice from earlier.

This is “Chicken Cutlet with Demi-Glace Sauce.”
The demi-glace sauce is excellent.
Every dish is tasty and healthy, so you can really eat your fill.
Now, I think I’ll have a drink after the meal.

Lunch drinks are +300 yen.
I ordered the “Setouchi Lemon Lemonade.”
It was a lemonade with a clear lemon flavor and aroma.
It’s a refreshing drink to finish off a meal.
I usually get hot coffee after lunch, but this is also a great choice after eating.
“chano-ma Nishinomiya Gardens” Menu

Here are the lunch and cafe menus.
It’s a cafe, but it looks like they also have a small selection of alcoholic drinks.
The pancakes look good too.
Inside “chano-ma Nishinomiya Gardens”
As I mentioned earlier, the tatami-style seating is what makes this restaurant stand out.
They also have raised sofa seating and regular table seating.

This is the tatami-style seating area.
Whenever I visit, these seats are always full of mothers with small children.
There’s also a stroller parking area, so it’s an easy place to visit with little kids.
The seats you can see toward the back are the sofa seats on the raised platform.

These are the regular table seats.
In the evening, many customers use the place as a cafe.
Exterior of “chano-ma Nishinomiya Gardens”

It’s on the 4th floor of Gardens.
The restaurant is on the north side, opposite the entrance.

This is what the exterior looks like.
Very stylish.

They have various signs out front.
It looks like they’re currently offering an autumn menu.
