Welcome to “This Week in Nishinomiya,” where we look back at the Nishinomiya openings, closings, and hot topics covered this week (4/17-4/23) by Nishitsu (Nishinomiya Tsushin)!
It looks like Mother Moon Cafe will probably open in August at the new commercial facility in Shukugawa (Otani-cho Green Place). Probably, okay. (We’ve also received info about other shops going in there. We’ll share it once it becomes public. You’re definitely going to be happy.)
We also shared news that a steak restaurant is coming to Minami-Koshikiiwa-cho! We don’t know when it will open yet, and the exterior isn’t ready either, but stay tuned for updates.
This article is brought to you by “GenkiStyle,” a foot treatment clinic that supports Nishitsu.

Things That Changed on Nishitsu This Week
There are two things this week.
We started Ashitsu
If you’ve read this far into “This Week in Nishinomiya,” you’re a seriously dedicated Nishitsu fan, so we’ll tell you quietly.
We started Ashiya Tsushin.
It’s so brand-new that it doesn’t even show up on Google yet.
Because of that, there isn’t much content yet, so we’re holding off on making a big public announcement.
If you have friends in Ashiya, it’s probably best not to tell them yet.
If they saw Ashitsu right now, they’d probably think, “There’s hardly any info!” so please wait about 10 more days before telling them. (Actually, that’s a lie. If you already know Nishitsu, go ahead and tell them right away.)
The images look better now
Around January, we reduced the image dimensions on Nishitsu as a way to make the site load faster.
As a result, the site did get lighter, but the tradeoff was that image quality went down. Food photos, for example, looked a bit dark and not very sharp.
It was a real “ugh” situation, but a heavy site isn’t good for readers or for Google, so we had been putting up with it. Then we tweaked some settings, and now the images look better.
Basically, in the past it was “nice images = heavy site,” then for the past three months it was “lower-quality images = lighter site,” and now it’s “nice images = lighter site.” The strongest setup.
We’re really glad about that. The end.
Thank You for the Tips!!
Thank you again for sending us information this week! Nishitsu can keep going thanks to you, in a very “You are there, and that’s why I’m here” (by Charlie Hama) kind of way!
So, if you hear about anything happening in Nishinomiya, please keep sending it through our information submission form or LINE.
