Weekend Events
On Saturday the 8th, there will be a Firefly Walk Rally in Yamaguchi-cho. It’s a nighttime event where you can have the rare experience of seeing fireflies. Special experiences from childhood can become lifelong memories, so if you have children, why not check it out?
For a daytime event, the Picnic Garden Festa will be held at Hanshin Racecourse in Takarazuka City on the 8th and 9th from 10:00.
For kids, there will be bouldering, a balance bike experience for younger children, and even a virtual fishing experience.
There will also be quite a lot of workshops and outdoor-themed stores. Plus, more than 20 food vendors will be there.
And now for the weekend weather in Nishinomiya.
Saturday the 8th will be cloudy, then sunny, with a 20% chance of rain and a high of 24°C. Sunday the 9th will be sunny, with a 10% chance of rain and a temperature of 28°C, so it will be a little hot.
For more Nishinomiya event information, please see the 2019 Nishinomiya City Event Calendar.

This Week’s Wrap-Up
This week, it felt like all the excitement was about Sunny Side along the approach to Hirota Shrine!
Mii from Nishitsu went to the shop and said she was surprised by the sheer variety of bread, more than she had ever seen before. Apparently, the curry bread really was the best.
The article about the Olympic torch relay also got a lot of views, and I imagine quite a few people would like to take part in the relay.
Applications seem to open on June 17, so if you’re selected, please let Nishitsu know. We’d love to introduce you on Miya-gao!
Continuing from last week, we would be extremely happy to receive tips such as “There’s a summer festival at such-and-such shrine!” or “There was a summer festival at this place last year!”
That’s it for this week’s Nishitsu.
Have a great weekend!!
